INTERVIEW: Collaboration with a Lifestyle Blogger | Women Empowerment

Erratic Rantings started off with a question, “What will I write about?“. Pat came the answer from TG – “Anything you want“. And the rest is history!

Slowly Erratic Rantings grew into a full-fledged lifestyle blog. It became an outlet for my emotions where I could write about anything I wanted. It became my comfort zone. And in the process, it started to gather a handful of readers like you who began to follow it. So what started as a memory bank has now become a responsibility towards you. While I continue to blog for myself today, I also do it for my readers and maybe help those out who are facing the same challenges as me but aren’t comfortable to talk about them.

It had continued this way for about two years now until it took a sudden turn a few weeks ago.

The other day, I was scrolling through Facebook after work mindlessly. I have joined a couple of really fun groups that are bustling with ideas in various categories. Bohemian home décor, travel, blogging, fitness etc. So while scrolling, I found an interesting post on one such group where I had the opportunity to talk about my blog. Naturally, I started interacting. That’s where I met Jerry Godinho.

Now let me tell you a bit about Jerry.

Jerry Godinho is a Toronto-based lifestyle blogger who believes in making a difference in people’s lives. His blog, Four Columns of a Balanced Life focuses on the four pillars of life – food, family, finance and faith. He is a staunch believer of women empowerment and aims to achieve that through his blog.

Thank god for Erratic Rantings that I got to meet an amazing person like him.

So, Jerry reached out to me and asked me if I was interested for an interview. After going through his blog, I was intrigued. His blogs live up to his goal and provide some really useful information. So I was more than happy to do the interview.

We talked about my blog, my life, Indian culture and women empowerment. I loved how he portrayed me and ensured that his readers could look at me “holistically and from a three-dimensional perspective”.

Ronita Goswami is a writer by profession and by passion. She considers herself to be an introvert, a bookworm, a fitness enthusiast, a perfectionist who likes to have all her ducks in a row. Discipline is important to her. “Recently, more specifically over the last two years, I have been donning the hat of a traveler. I’m picking up a lot of traits from my journeys. Travel has converted me into a minimalist and has made me more aware of different cultures. It has had a huge impact on my personality, my lifestyle, and my creative interests.” About 3 years ago, she discovered the joy of football (soccer) and has been an Arsenal fan ever since.

This interview has given me a chance to introspect and think about the direction of not only Erratic Rantings but my life too. It wasn’t until Jerry asked me those questions that I even realized how well Erratic Rantings sums me up.

I hope to do more collaborations like this in the future to ensure that more people get to read my blog and it becomes what I’ve always intended it to be – a voice for thoughts sans discrimination.

Stay safe guys.

I love lazy afternoons, sunsets, tea, the smell of old books and oxblood staircases. I'm a bit of an old soul discovering life and adding more elements to my identity as I go.
